Static vs rotating proxies

The question is not which is better. It is whether your job needs to look like one visitor or many.

One identity or many

A static proxy keeps one IP for your term. It suits logins, allowlists, long sessions and any job where changing address would look suspicious. A rotating proxy hands you a different IP across requests, which suits wide, shallow collection where no single address should carry much.

How they are sold here

Static means the per-IP lines: datacenter from $1.25 and ISP from $2.10 per IP per month on the shared plan. Rotating means residential, by the GB, from $5.50 for one GB. See static residential proxies and rotating proxies.

A decision rule

If the task needs a login or one consistent source, choose static. If it needs thousands of fresh addresses and has no login, choose rotating. If neither, start with the cheapest shared datacenter IP and test.

Frequently asked questions

Can a static proxy rotate?

Not by itself. You can rotate by using a list of static addresses in turn, which is how many scrapers spread load across per-IP proxies.
