Cheap proxies vs free proxies
A free proxy is paid for by someone, and it is not always you who benefits.
What you get from a free list
Most free proxies are open servers misconfigured by their owners, or run by people who want your traffic. They are slow, unreliable and shared by everyone who finds the same list.
The risks
Anything you send through a proxy that does not use TLS end to end is visible to the proxy operator.
- Credentials and cookies can be read or altered on plain HTTP.
- Addresses are already burned on most targets, so you are blocked immediately.
- There is no one to ask when it breaks.
The cheapest paid option
The lowest-priced paid option here is a shared datacenter IP at $1.25 per month. That is a fixed address with support and a meter you can read, which is the real difference.
Frequently asked questions
Are any free proxies safe?
Do not use them for anything involving a login, a payment or personal data. For disposable, public-page fetching they can work, with a high failure rate.
Try it for $5
Minimum top-up is $5. Run your own target through it before you scale.
