Cheap proxies for geo-testing and QA
If your product behaves differently by country, you need to load it from each country. A static address in the market is the cheapest repeatable way to do that.
Worked budget: 5 country-specific shared ISP IPs, one per market under test, for a month. On the cheap isp proxies: static ips that look residential line that comes to $9.65 at list price. This is an illustration from your own assumptions, not a measurement of any workload.
What teams check
Country redirects, currency and tax display, translated pages, consent banners that depend on region, and content that should be blocked or allowed in a market.
Why a static address suits testing
A test that passes on Tuesday and is repeated on Friday should run from the same place. A fixed address in each market keeps the variable you are testing, location, constant. Rotating pools add noise and have no country choice.
Use country targeting to pick the market, then keep the same IP across the test run.
Keep it in the budget
One address per market is usually enough for manual and light automated checks. Add more only when a pipeline runs checks in parallel from the same market.
Frequently asked questions
Can I test mobile network behaviour with this?
No. We do not sell mobile proxies, so carrier-network behaviour on mobile cannot be reproduced here.
Try it for $5
