What “shared” means here
On the shared plan an address is used by up to 3 customers. It includes a traffic allowance per IP, and extra traffic is billed per GB. The dedicated plan gives the address to you alone and does not meter traffic.
Sharing does not make a proxy slower in itself. It means another customer’s behaviour on the same address can affect how a target treats it.
When shared is the right first buy
Start with shared when you are testing a target, when requests are spread across many addresses so that no single IP carries much, or when a blocked address costs you little because you can replace it.

When to step up
