Hidden costs in cheap proxy pricing
The price on the front page is rarely the price of the thing you will actually use. These are the places the difference hides.
Where the extra money comes from
Go through this list for any provider before you pay.
- Bandwidth that expires at the end of a billing period.
- A renewal rate that is higher than the first order.
- Minimum order sizes that are higher than the advertised starting price.
- Charges for speed, thread count or country targeting added at checkout.
- Payment fees shown only on the last step.
- Overage priced higher than the plan rate.
What we publish
On this site every residential rung from $5.50 per GB upward is on the price page. Per-IP lines show the volume discounts and the term discounts separately. One thing to know, which is on the price page too: renewing a residential pool is priced at the one-GB rate, so buy the size you need at the start.
A sanity check you can run on anyone
Pick the configuration you would actually buy, go to the last step before payment, and compare it with the headline. If they match, the pricing is honest. If not, you have learned what the provider’s cheap really means.
Frequently asked questions
Is expiring bandwidth always bad?
Not always, but it is a real cost if you use traffic unevenly. Compare effective price at the usage you expect.
Try it for $5
Minimum top-up is $5. Run your own target through it before you scale.
